The New Merger Business Model

Affinity Board of Directors (former Crestwood Community CU board director)

One of our biggest concerns in considering the merger with Affinity CU was keeping our name and identity, while maintaining our dedicated staff and the level of personalized service our members have come to expect. Affinity CU has met all of our needs and we can now provide services to our members that were previously not possible

Affinity takes a partnership approach to merger. The credit union’s name and identity, staff and facilities are maintained in order to build a larger branch network to service our members. Board members have the opportunity to serve on the Affinity Group CU board or on key strategy development teams. Each credit union enjoys the benefit of increased resources and more human resource depth. Compliance, ALM and risk management issues are handled by special teams, which are comprised of compliance certified employees and representatives from each credit union. Best of all, credit union members can now participate in new programs and services that were previously not possible due to excessive costs. As the Affinity proprietary branch network continues to grow, members also have access to over 100+ shared branches state wide at which to conduct their business.

Affinity credit unions join together as one powerful team to guarantee the future growth and success of each individual membership. We offer each credit union an opportunity to maintain its unique identity. Through Affinity, the possibilities are endless…and the rewards are proven.

Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Growth (former CEO WySouth FCU)

Affinity has allowed me the opportunity to access greatly expanded administrative, compliance, technical and marketing resources. As President/CEO of a smaller credit union, I had to do it all. Now I’m part of a management team with much greater resource depth and I’m playing an important role in the future growth and development of a much larger organization.
